Self-Employed Artisan Metalsmith

  • Embarked fully to create a custom metalworking business specializing in Viking-inspired knives and jewelry.

  • Managing all aspects of the business, including marketing, customer relations, and product development.

2023 - 2024

CNC Tech School

  • Completed 1 year of the course with good grades despite being half asleep.

  • Gained additional hands-on experience and some CAD training.

  • Conceived of and designed 3d models for a peening fixture that would basically automate the task.

2022 - 2024

Machine Gun and Torque Box Assembly Lead

  • Took material off the truck and loaded finished parts on the truck.

  • Ran the saw, operated the CNCs, designed new assembly tools by hand and on CAD, led the assembly department, deburred parts and trained new-comers.

  • Problem solving including but not limited to designing new assembly tools that saved 90% + man hours.

2021 - 2022

CNC Operator

  • Operated CNC machines to manufacture precision components, contributing to high-quality production runs.

  • Conducted routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

2019 - 2020

Torpedo Assembly / Tech

  • Used manual machines and assembly tools to do various tasks on torpedos and other industrial machines.

  • Used ovens and dry ice to assemble precision components.

2018 - 2019

Aerospace Machinist / Grinder

  • Used lathes, war era manual grinders and manually operated CNC grinders to hold .0002”-.002 tolerances without damaging or scrapping any customer parts.

  • Studied for 6 months and took on projects others were afraid to touch for fear of ruining the part.

  • Participated in the production of diamond grinding wheels, focusing on quality assurance and production efficiency.

  • Earned a comprehensive diploma in manufacturing, covering various aspects of machining, design, and production processes.
